Upcoming Event
to be rescheduled

Everything old is cool again!  Designed to give artists and audiences the opportunity to experience art song in a true chamber setting (think 21st century Schubertiade), our SongSalon events routinely sell out

SongSalon programs present singers and pianists who have a relationship with Joy In Singing. Artists on the SongSalons are either past winners or finalists.
A sampling of past programs:

  • The South American Way (Upper East Side)

  • An afternoon of English song (Lincoln Center area)

  • B is for Britain: songs by Benjamin Britten and Frank Bridge (Midtown at The Coffeehouse Club)

  • Present memories of things past (Upper West Side)

  • Voci di Primavera: songs for spring (Hell's Kitchen)

If you would like to host an event, we would be happy to use your home or venue for a SongSalon. The space must have room for 25-50 music lovers, plus room for light refreshment.

To inquire about becoming a host, please contact program director,
Maria Fattore (mfattore@joyinsinging.org)

The SongSalon venue location will be sent upon confirmation of your  donation. We are already counting down to a sell out.

To receive an invitation, please add your name to the sign up list here: INVITATION LIST

 About the Artists:

Mezzo Soprano Anna Tonna has been described as "mezzo heroine who knows how to sing Rossini" by the Rossini Gessellschaft and as "showing off her warm, secure mezzo-soprano to maximum advantage" by the New York Magazine; She has collaborated with Casals Festival of Puerto Rico, Festival Iberoamericano de las Artes in Puerto Rico, Música de Cámara of New York, El Festival de Segovia, Joy in Singing and Elysium Between Two Continents among others.  Of note amongst her recital of songs are appearances at Weill Recital Hall, the Palacio Nacional de Ájuda in Lisbon, Teatro 1793 at Villa Adlrovandi Mazzacorati in Italy, the Fundación Juan March in Madrid and at the ElbPhilharmonie in Hamburg. Commercial recordings that have preserved some of these efforts include The songs of Julio Gómez with disc label VERSO and her disc España alla Rossini with iTinerant Classics.
